April Blog Contest Winner

Posted by Denise Vanausdoll on

We have our April Blog Contest winners!

Congratulation to David and Becky Vroon of Charlotte, NC. They have shared their story of "Four Years Strong and Growing"!

David and Becky Vroon recently hosted their “4th Annual Job J. Visbeek Mahbles Tournament” in honor and wonderful memory of Becky’s father - who taught us the game over 20 years ago, and made the first generation board himself!

We have enjoyed the game with family and friends for over 20 years now. We use the game as a great way to meet new friends from church and our community. The enjoyment of the game kept growing and soon we found people calling us to learn how to play and where they could order such a fun a colorful board game like the one we have!

The fun continues to grow. We hosted our first tournament at our home in 2013 with 20 people. This year we hosted 60 of our friends and friend’s friends, and rented out a restaurant to accommodate all of us! Food and drinks for $30 per couple, and we had a 4-person tournament with 14 tables going at one time!

We crowned a new champion team, “Team Stocker” who cunningly and strategically pursued victory from the 2013 champs (see them in the blue T- shirts using the Job J. Visbeek board for the final round)! The red shirts of victory were awarded with bragging rights secured for one more year!

A great and memorable time for all!
David and Becky Vroon
